CMYK Playing Cards

Forget Clubs, Spades, Hearts and Diamonds. Play instead with your color separations- Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. Each numerical card is shown as a percentage of opacity using the color, for example 8 Cyan is 80%.

Kudos to Hundred Million in the United Kingdom for coming up with this idea I spotted at Design-Milk.com.

Pantone Pairings by David Schwen

David Schwen, a Minneapolis-based artist came up with a slam-dunk series of Pantone color swatches based on food pairings: bacon & eggs, macaroni & cheese, chips & salsa, peas & carrots, peanut  butter & jelly, wasabi & soy sauce, ham & cheese, bread & butter, salt & pepper, strawberries & chocolate, ketchup & mustard, and cookies & milk. Here's the link to them all at MyModernMet.com.

Variety is the spice of life, and I hope more clever pairings will surface soon!
