Elephants in Small Places is a show documenting various approaches to illness in our society. Shannon Gerard (Toronto) will set up knitting education center, boobs & dinks, with instructions for testicular and breast cancer examinations. Jennifer Wilkey (New York) will show some of her stunning photographs incorporating yarn into hospital settings. Clare Britt (Chicago) will do a 2-D installation piece, like a black cloud, glossy with various shades of dark, abstracted from their original source in fashion magazines and Derek Haverland (Chicago) will show a credit card piece in which the audience is encouraged to take a credit from the ever changing stacks.
The opening reception will be Saturday, January 10, from 7-10pm. The show runs Saturday, January 10th - Feb 7.
